Top 5 Movie Actors

Standard

Welcome to my lists. Lists are how I organize my life in a way and being a student it makes things hella easy so here is a list of my top 5 movie actors:

5. Russell Crowe

Mainly known for his role in “Gladiator” playing Maximus, Russel has to be a part of my top 5 as he was born in New Zealand! Crazy to see NZ talent (although not really but I’ll claim it) go big. His role in the recent “Man of Steel” movie was interesting and I loved his role in “Broken City”. Also having him in “Robin Hood” was a big ups for me and that’s why he is placed in spot number 5.

4.  Morgan Freeman

Morgan’s role in “The Shawshank Redemption” saw me close to tears (trust me I never cry) as well as his narration (I know… thats narrating but still..) of  “March of the Penguins” which was also very emotional. His Bucket list performance and his devotion in Batman earns him the number 4 spot in my list of top actors

3.  Leonardo DiCaprio/Johnny Depp

“Whats Eating Gilbert Grape” was a film I studied in English a while back. I hated it with a passion because there was no blood,  violence or action but, I soon realized that the acting by DiCaprio was top class and featuring another favourite Johnny Depp it soon became a good movie. Not only this but DiCaprio’s performance in “Blood Diamond” was excellent and that too is one of my all time favourite movies. More recently “Inception” was done well. For Depp his “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy along with the combined performance in Gilbert Grape earns them to share 3rd place on my list.

2. Will Smith

Who can forget the Fresh prince of Bel-Air? Who started out rapping then made his movie mark in Bad Boys and soon after acting in “Independence Day”. From there the Men in Black films and “The Pursuit of Happiness” were legendary performances. His all round humor in what he does and how he does it is incredible but his serious side is still there as shown in “I am Legend” a great apocalypse style movie which I loved. Will Smith deserves this number 2 spot for inspiring and entertaining me all in the same movie.

1. Jason Statham

“Snatch”, “Layer Cake”, The Italian Job”, “The Bank Job”, “Crank”, “Transporter 1,2 and 3″,”13”, “The Mechanic”, “Parker” and “Humming Bird” are all fantastic examples of how epic this man is. He was able to be a part of the Expendable team and is also a part of the Fast & Furious collection. His ability to drive is insane and he has even voice acted in a Call of Duty video game back in 2003! His upcoming movies include the next Fast & Furious, Homefront and Heat. While rumor has it the Expendables 3 is to be released in 2014. This man has provided many hours of entertainment and jaw dropping action. His ruthless style that we see in Mechanic and Parker is only just starting  to show but his younger self was a slightly more nervous man. He is absolutely deserving 1st place on my list as he has been my favourite actor for a long time and looks to keep it that way for a while yet. Jason you are truly an inspiration and a legend.
